I
started thinking about a better way to feed minerals about six
years ago when I realized I was buying two or three new feeders
every year. The cattle beat those feeders to pieces, and what
they didn't destroy, the winds finished. When I put minerals out
in ground boxes, the cattle walked in them (and did other
things), and when it rained much of the mineral was wasted.
After
some experimentation, I developed "The Protector".
When cattle started eating from the barrel feeder I realized we
had a built-in opportunity to spray our cattle every day. After
the spray system was working well, we added a solar panel to
keep the battery charged.
Since
we've hung "The Protector" feeders--the cattle beat on
them all the time; we get rain, sleet, snow; temperatures range
from -20 to 105 degrees--the minerals inside stay dry and clean,
the sprayer keeps pumping, and the flies stay off the cattle.
All we do is fill them up once in a while. "
Your
cattle will appreciate it..........and so will you! |
