fly repellent on the animal's back as it eats.
The Protector is different from
set-on-the-ground feeders because it swings freely from a tree
limb or overhead beam. This method provides protection from
destruction minded bulls and cows. The thick, high-density
polyethylene feeder body withstands abuse from cattle and
weather. It's so tough that we're willing to guarantee the body
for five years! |

How it works as a sprayer.
|

"The Protector" is powered by a 12 volt battery which
maintains its charge through a solar panel designed to keep the
battery fresh, even in partial shade.
"The Protector" hangs from a tree slightly off center
and has a wind vane to protect the opening from rain and snow.
Its free-standing design keeps it in tact and out of the way of
farm equipment, or wear and tear from cattle.
When
your cow puts her head into the feeder, she triggers a magnetic
switch. The control box is activated, and after a 5 second
delay, the 12 volt electric pump delivers 7cc to 10cc of fly
repellent mixture on the back of the cow. When the cow backs out
and the feeder door has closed for a full two seconds "The
Protector" will reset itself for the next cow. |

50-80 head of cattle. So instead of corralling and spraying all
of those cattle periodically, simply refill The Protector spray
tank when you pour a bag of minerals into the feed. Fly control
cannot get simpler or easier than this! |

Horn flies can reduce calf weights 15-40
pounds. Left uncontrolled, horn flies will reduce weaning
weights over 4%, which equals about a $20.00 loss for each 450
pound calf. Take $20.00 times 50 calves and and you have lost
$1,000. There are other problems associated with flies. Flies
spread pinkeye rapidly throughout the herd. This increases your
vet bills and lowers the value of your infected cattle. A good
